Pick up the cross of Christ,
And lay your burdens down
At the feet of Jesus, find
Relief from all the weight of

Sin, yes lay it down, lay it
Down, lay down sin's weight,
He knows the desperation of
Your fate from guilt's shame,

Breath in his love and mercy,
Exhale grief's separation from
The Father's care, he took
Striking blows of wrath and

Cruelty on himself and no one
Else, no other way but through
Him and him was
Redeemed, the price was paid,

Guilt's penalty in painful death...
Brings eternal peace and rest
For all who'll come, there's still
Room for one!
