THE TRUMPET SOUND

Waiting, watching, listening for the
Trump to sound announcing Christ
The King...in the twinkling of an eye,
We'll be changed and lifted high, no

Need to pack our bags or grab our
Clothes, we'll meet him in the air...
And be clothed in pure white robes
To be carried home, never more to

Roam, maybe midnight, morning or
Noon, we're not sure when, though
We know he's coming soon, no time
To worry, doubt or fret...be ready for

The trumpet blast, it'll come so fast,
Don't waste your thoughts on sorrow
Or regret, Jesus is coming, it's not too
Late yet, make sure you know where

You'll go, by believing, confessing, and
Receiving the Savior, who forgives your
Sin, he'll give you a new heart...eternity
With him that'll never end; the final story...

Redemption's glory, through Jesus Christ,
LORD of Lords and KING of kings!

RELATED SCRIPTURES

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 -- For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 5:7-11 -- Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

1 Corinthians 15:50-53 -- Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
