THE SINS OF MEN
The cross of Christ spans across the
Years, standing tall against men's fears,
On it, the one who's crucifixion meant
Redemption, sent by the Father, his Son
Knew no sin, but became a ransom for all
Crucified and bludgeoned, his blood poured
Out on the altar of sacrifice, a lamb without
Blemish or spot would restore man who had
Fallen from grace, to God who had walked
With him in the garden, enmity replaced unity
Until Christ came and took the place of all
Men great and small, bearing their sin and
Standing between the devil's plot to destroy
What God had done, through the Son's death,
Healing and forgiveness answered the law's
Demand...fulfilling the requirement for sin...
Freedom came where bondage reigned...
Given to all who would heed repentance,
Innocence -- slain to cover sin's dark stain
Blotting out the blemish of man's ways...
Redemption, restoration, and renewal came
In JESUS' name, eternal life's Resurrection!
