Transported through the door,
The portal of heaven opens
Of sin's foreboding...
A darkened earth, crossbeam,
And a man...how odd
It must have been
To be suspended there, between
Earth's bondage and heaven's light,
Between demons raging and
Ethereal bliss of "it is finished."
Some say his death was wasted
Though the grief, I never tasted...
Through suffering, pain, and death,
Ultimate forgiveness extends itself.
