LONG AWAITED MESSIAH

LONG AWAITED MESSIAH

   The long awaited Messiah came,
   Took the blame for all men's sins,
   The Jews did not accept him, but
   Insisted the devil was in him...he

   Healed the sick, raised the dead by
   Doing works of God in their midst;
   While hurling their accusations, he
   Cast out demons, as they lectured,

   Lied, and misapplied God's Torah of
   Laws, commands, truths; jealous of
   Crowds that Jesus drew, grew them
   To use deception's prideful rejection,

   Showing the truth about themselves
   They were too blind to see that they
   Acted contrary to God's intentions of
   Who they were supposed to be...the

   Carrier of God's laws to the people of
   Israel, and God's chosen vessels...for
   Caring for and loving their people, as
   God's instruments, by accusing Christ

   Of what they were doing, time and time
   Again, they chose anger, jealousy, and
   Deception, their rejection of the King of
   The Israelites and the foretold Messiah.

Luke 19: 37-44 -- And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

John 19:28‐30 -- After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
