MERCY SEAT OF GOD
Merciful and mighty, you are faithful
And good, Jesus you found me in sin
Full of shame, yet you loved me from
The start, you showed me your heart
And the cross on which you died, you
Have now been glorified, as you shed
Your blood and cried...."it is finished,"
A soldier pierced your side, the world
Looked on as the temple veil was torn
From top to bottom, to invite all those
Who would come to the mercy seat of
GOD....your blood was sprinkled there
Our sacrificial lamb, no blemish found,
Pure and holy for sure, no more would
We be going through a priest to get to
God; Lord Jesus as our substitute took
Your sin and mine....and now we are
Seen as worthy of him who died, now
He's glorified....perfection forever true,
The Son brings mankind to himself, he
Is Messiah, Jesus Christ....and GOD!!!
