THE COMING

You've come here to earth, to me
To all, in the form of a blessed child,
So small, yet more powerful than

The forces of the universe, and why not,
You made them...the stars, the planets,
The sources of their very existence, yet

Your form to man, so meek and mild
A servant. Teach us to comprehend,
To grasp, to us again

Your hands...your feet...your wounded
Side. Your love for us so pure, complete,
And whole, in your body...broken!

Isaiah 53:5-6 -- But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquty of us all.
Galatians 4:4-5 -- But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
