ON GETTING OLDER

Wrinkle lines, surround smiles, as
Empty eyes, dark and hollow, or
Twinkling brightly beneath each
Furrow, tells stories of epochs past

Love lost or gained, in brokeness
Or wholeness, the truth of God's
Absolute love remains and sustains
The troubled and weary, the lost and

The dreary, as well as the joyful
And cheery, God delights in the
Praise of his people
