HEALING HEART

HEALING HEART

Sometimes life brings deep sorrow and grief, as tragedy strikes. We are not guaranteed a life free from heartaches and difficulty, but in the midst of it we can know that God will ultimately bring healing, joy, and meaning back into our lives because of events that may throw us off kilter and send us spiraling downward. As Christians though, we should never lose sight of our suffering Messiah. He took our sin upon himself so that we might live our lives for him, under the new covenant of his blood that was shed for each of us.

He will walk with us and hold us ever so close, if we'll allow him to be there for us and with us. He'll meet us individually, one on one. That's how much he loves those who'll call out to him, with sincere heart and repentance for the wrongs we've committed.

Christ himself told us that we should expect to have trouble and tribulation in this world. HE tells us this because we live in a fallen world, where there is sin, and poor choices, in ourselves and in others sometimes.

The difficult times can bring us closer to God, as we cry out to him, in our sorrow and anguish. He's the one that can bring a deeper understanding of what's going on and of who we are in him.

This past three weeks have been very difficult for my family and me. My dear nephew who was only 34 years old, passed away on May 22, 2022, and he was laid to rest on June 2, 2022. He is survived by his wife and three young sons, all five years old and under. He also is survived by his father, mother, brother, grandfather, aunts, cousins, a myriad of friends and extended family. We all miss him and grieve over losing him.

Your prayers for the Baxter family are very appreciated, as are all the other expressions of love, care and concern. Please continue to pray for my nephew's wife and three young sons, my brother and wife, and all of us who loved him so very much.

Thank you,
Love Cheryl

HEALING HEART

A folding out of pink and white,
A streaming in of spiral light....
A letting go of woundedness....
A healing heart is in process!
